Your SMS numbers also serve as an information portal and telephone switchboard for people who choose to call the numbers as opposed to sending an SMS. A custom greeting is set up with each individual SMS number. When the prospective client “calls in,” they hear the greeting, and simultaneously receive an SMS from your firm. Callers are given the option to press a button on their telephone which connects them to whichever customer service number the advertisement needs to point to. Otherwise, they listen to the custom greeting and respond to the SMS sent by your firm when they are done with the telephone call. Land based telephone lines do not receive the SMS messages, but the numbers do get logged in and are not lost or discarded.
